Barb and Dave Elliott are the proud owners of the Whistling Moose Gallery in beautiful Mackinaw City. Northern Michigan is home for Barb and Dave, and provided the foundation for a great love and appreciation of nature and the outdoors.

After college, several corporate jobs and a professional baseball career, they came full circle, returning to Northern Michigan in the spring of 2000. Barb and Dave plunged into the retail business in May of 2000, opening the Bear River Woodshop in the Mackinaw Crossings, located in Mackinaw City. Completing the repertoire, the Whistling Moose Gallery was purchased in December 2003.

Each location features furniture, home decorating accessories, prints, books and jewelry. These unique items are made from natural products such as wood, stone, metal, glass and clay. Through their stores, Barb and Dave hope to share their love of Michigan by offering something that you can take home with you today.
